In light of the Quality Standards for Teacher Evaluation, how might you communicate with your principal about how you plan and how you align with the Colorado Visual Art Academic Standards?

    In conversations with administrators I often find that I am reminding that my projects are reverse-designed. This routine usually goes as follows:
    1)I will find a project/product that appeals to student interests
    2)I list the steps needed to accomplish the project
    3)I research the themes that the project touches on (visual literacy, art standards, then I look at any possible literacy, science, math, history/social studies, social conventions)
    4)I decide which themes are most significant, relevant, and appropriate based on the needs demonstrated by students, class, teacher-growth, school or district goals
    5)I develop the procedure list
    6)I develop a rubric with the aim of assessing the goals decided upon in step 5
